Explore the unusually beautiful and ornate Moscow metro stations on a 3-hour tour of the "palaces built for the people." You will admire the marble columns, stained-glass windows and sculptures that have made the Moscow metro so unique and inimitable. The Metro is iconic also because it showcased Socialist Realism in public art.  Each of stations has own backstory about its building process and the historical event or famous person the stations were named after.
 
You wii visit the station "Mayakovskaya", which was a refuge for the Council of Ministers during the Second World War.  Admire the design of the station "Belorusskaya", each of the marble mosaics which tells its story.  Look at the stained-glass windows of the station "Novoslobodskaya" and the mosaic of Pavel Korin "Peace to the World".
